"The Master Plan of Evangelism" Adult Ed. course

 Sundays at 8:45 a.m. (come early and get your coffee or tea!) we are studying the book by Robert Coleman on the methodology of Jesus in His evangelism efforts. 

Jesus said "Go... make disciples..." and the first step in doing so is to share the truth of one's need for the only Savior God has provided, and that is of course, Jesus Himself. 

Join us to study the methods used by Jesus Himself to build a group of men who would become His hand-picked group to change the world. We can learn a lot by looking closely at this process, and thereby become better disciples ourselves. 

Join us in the main church at 8:40 a.m. Sundays! To God be the glory!

What's with "Lent"???

This coming Sunday’s readings assigned through the Revised Common Lectionary will have us reading the first 17 verses of John chapter 3. That passage includes what is perhaps the most well known verse, John 3:16 which reads in the English Standard Version as “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” (I do wish the publishers of the Bible would return to the practice of capitalizing the pronouns used to refer to God, in all references to any of the members of the Triune God.) So the important question becomes, “What does it mean to ‘believe’?” The word “believe” comes from a word that can (and perhaps should) be translated as “trust.” So the phrase containing the word “believe” in John 3:16 could read, “whoever trusts in Him…” Many, in my humble opinion, have an understanding of the word “believe” that is not very Biblical. NEW STUDY & Sermon Series begins Sept. 1

The Bible and the U.S. Constitution [Click the video link to the right of this page for the latest upload in the series. Dr. John Nyhan will begin a five week series on Sept. 1, 2019 on the Biblical foundations of our U.S. Constitution. Fr. Nyhan has done extensive study on this topic and will share his insights on the historical foundation of this most important of documents. It will help us not only in living out our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, but also some practical ways that our faith impacts the country as a whole. Fr. John will cover this in both Adult Education which begins at 9:00 a.m. and this topic will be further covered in his sermon at the 10:00 service.
