  Sunday, November 29, 2020 The First Sunday of Advent Prelude “Away In A Manger”   The prelude helps us to focus on where we are and why we are here. Quiet, meditative mood is encouraged, prayerfully expelling mental distractions. Liturgy of the Word Processional Hymn All stand. The people of God sang as they approached the Temple for worship. The procession helps us remember that coming into the presence of God is an extraordinarily special privilege. During this hymn, the younger children are dismissed to attend Children’s Chapel “Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus” Hymnal #244 Blessing of Advent Candles Opening Acclamation Call to worship, to purposefully enter God’s nearer presence.
