The people standing, the Celebrant says:
Celebrant The Lord be with you:
People And also with you.
Celebrant The earth is the Lord’s and all that is
in it:
People Let
the heavens rejoice and the earth be glad.
Celebrant I was glad when they said to me:
People Let
us go to the house of the Lord.
Celebrant Praise the Lord:
People The
name of the Lord be praised.
Celebrant Let us pray:
People Almighty
God, you bring to light things hidden in darkness, and know the shadows of our
hearts: Cleanse and renew us by your Spirit, that we may walk in the light and
glorify your name, through Jesus Christ, the Light of the world, Amen.
The Decalogue (Ten Commandments; Ex. 20:1-17)
Celebrant:
1And God spoke all these words, saying,
2I am the Lord
your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of
slavery. 3You shall have no other gods before me.
4You shall not make for yourself a carved
image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the
earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5You shall not bow down to them or serve
them, for I the Lord your God am a
jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third
and the fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing steadfast love to thousands
of those who love me and keep my commandments.
7You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who
takes his name in vain.
8Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9Six days you shall labor, and do all your
work, 10but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do
any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female
servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. 11For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and
all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it
holy.
People: Lord, have mercy on us, and write these laws in our
hearts.
Celebrant:
12Honor your father and your mother, that
your days may be long in the land that the Lord
your God is giving you.
13You shall not murder.
14You shall not commit adultery.
15You shall not steal.
16You shall not bear false witness against
your neighbor.
17You shall not covet your neighbor’s house;
you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male servant, or his female
servant, or his ox, or his donkey, or anything that is your neighbor’s.
People: Lord, have mercy on us, and write these laws in our
hearts.
Gloria
Sung by all.
Glory
to God in the highest, and peace to His people on earth.
Lord God, heavenly King, almighty God and Father, we worship You, we give You
thanks, we praise You for Your glory.
Lord
Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father, Lord God, Lamb of God, You take away the
sin of the world: have mercy on us; You are seated at the right hand of the
Father: receive our prayers.
For You alone are the Holy One, You alone are the Lord, You alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen.
Celebrant: The
Lord be with you.
People: And also with you.
Celebrant:
Let us pray.
Collect Prayer of the Day Prayed by Celebrant. We “collect” our acclamations, corporately proclaim a truth about God and ask His help in living out that truth.
First Reading Ezekiel 34:11-12, 15-17 (ESV)
11 “For thus says the Lord God: Behold, I, I myself will
search for my sheep and will seek them out. 12 As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he
is among his sheep that have been scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and I
will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on a day
of clouds and thick darkness.
15 I myself will be the shepherd of my
sheep, and I myself will make them lie down, declares the Lord God. 16 I will seek the lost, and I will
bring back the strayed, and I will bind up the injured, and I will strengthen
the weak, and the fat and the strong I will destroy. I will feed them
in justice.
17 “As for you, my flock, thus says the
Lord God: Behold, I
judge between sheep and sheep, between rams and male goats.
Reader: The
word of the Lord.
People: Thanks be to
God.
Psalm 95:1-6
1 Oh come, let us sing to the Lord;
let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our
salvation!
2 Let us come into his presence with
thanksgiving;
let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of
praise!
3 For the Lord is a great God,
and a great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth;
the heights of the mountains are his also.
5 The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.
6 Oh come, let us worship and bow down;
let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!
Second Reading Romans 16:17-27 (ESV)
17 I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out
for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the
doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. 18 For such persons do not serve our Lord
Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the
hearts of the naive. 19 For your obedience is known to all,
so that I rejoice over you, but I want you to be wise as to what is good
and innocent as to what is evil. 20 The God of peace will soon crush
Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
21 Timothy, my fellow worker, greets you; so
do Lucius and Jason and Sosipater, my kinsmen.
22 I Tertius, who wrote this letter,
greet you in the Lord.
23 Gaius, who is host to me and to the whole
church, greets you. Erastus, the city treasurer, and our brother Quartus, greet
you.
25 Now to him who is able to strengthen
you according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus
Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery that was kept
secret for long ages 26 but has now been disclosed and
through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations, according to
the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of
faith— 27 to the only wise God be glory
forevermore through Jesus Christ! Amen.
Sequence Hymn “Here I Am To Worship”
Light
of the world
You stepped down into darkness
Opened my eyes let me see.
Beauty that made this heart adore You
Hope of a life spent with You.
Chorus
So here I am to worship .
Here I am to bow down.
Here I am to say that You're my God,
And You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me.
King
of all days
Oh so highly exalted
Glorious in heaven above.
Humbly You came
To the earth You created
All for love's sake became poor.
Chorus, followed by:
And
I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross.
And I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross.
Chorus
(So
here I am to worship… )

Gospel Reading
Matthew 25:14-30 (ESV)
Reader:
The Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to Matthew.
People: Glory to You, Lord
Christ.
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit on his glorious throne. 32 Before him will be gathered all the nations, and he will separate people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33 And he will place the sheep on his right, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, 36 I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? 38 And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? 39 And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ 40 And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’
41 “Then he will say to those on his
left, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me no
food, I was thirsty and you gave me no drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not welcome
me, naked and you did not clothe me, sick and in prison and you did not visit
me.’ 44 Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord,
when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in
prison, and did not minister to you?’ 45 Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly,
I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did
not do it to me.’ 46 And these will go away into eternal punishment,
but the righteous into eternal life.”
Reader: The
Gospel of the Lord.
People: Praise to You,
Lord Christ.
Sermon Fr.
Andrew Doan
Nicene Creed We respond to the Word of God read and
expounded by stating aloud an ancient form of confessing our belief.
We believe in one God, the Father, the
Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the
only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father, God from God, Light from
Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father.
Through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down
from heaven: by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the
Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius
Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in
accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the
right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and
the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord,
the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father
and the Son he is worshiped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic1 and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the
forgiveness of sins. We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of
the world to come. Amen.
1”catholic” means for all
people, in all places, at all times.
Prayers of the People
The Bible teaches us to
pray for ourselves and others in various conditions and functions. The Leader
and People pray responsively in Form 6.
Include your personal intercessions & thanksgivings silently or

The Leader and People
pray responsively
In peace, we pray to you, Lord God.
For all people in their daily life and
work;
For our families, friends, and neighbors, and for those who are alone.
For this community, the nation, and the
world;
For all who work for justice, freedom, and peace.
For the just and proper use of your
creation;
For the victims of hunger, fear, injustice, and oppression.
For all who are in danger, sorrow, or any
kind of trouble;
For those who minister to the sick, the friendless, and the needy.
For the peace and unity of the Church of
God;
For all who proclaim the Gospel, and all who seek the Truth.
For our Bishops and for all bishops and
other ministers;
For all who serve God in his Church.
For the special needs and concerns of this
congregation.
Hear us, Lord;
For your mercy is great.
We thank you, Lord, for all the blessings
of this life.
We will exalt you, O God our King;
And praise your Name for ever and ever.
We pray for all who have died, that they
may have a place in your eternal kingdom.
Lord, let your loving-kindness be upon
them;
Who put their trust in you.
We pray to you also for the forgiveness of
our sins.
Silence may be kept.
Leader and People
Have mercy upon us, most merciful Father;
in your compassion forgive us our sins, known and unknown, things done and left
undone; and so uphold us by your Spirit that we may live and serve you in
newness of life, to the honor and glory of your Name; through Jesus Christ our
Lord. Amen.
Celebrant: Almighty
God have mercy on you, forgive you all your sins through our Lord Jesus Christ,
strengthen you in all goodness, and by the power of the Holy Spirit keep you in
eternal life.

Almighty
God, Owner of all things, we thank You for giving up Your only Son to die on
the cross for us who owe You everything. Pour Your refreshing Spirit on us as
we remember Him in the way He commanded.
On
the night that He was betrayed He took bread and gave You thanks; He broke it

for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.”
People Amen.
His body was broken for us.
Then the Celebrant
continues
In the same way, after supper He took the
cup and gave You thanks; He gave it to them saying, “Drink this, all of you;

the forgiveness of sins. Do this as often as you drink it, in remembrance of
Me.”

We have died together.
We will rise together.

Then the Celebrant
continues
Therefore, heavenly Father, hear us as we
celebrate this covenant with joy, and await the coming of our Savior, Jesus
Christ. He died in our place, making a full atonement for the sins of the whole
world, the perfect sacrifice, once and for all. You accepted His offering by
raising Him from death, and granting Him great honor at Your right hand on
high.
People Amen. Jesus is Lord.
Spiritual Communion (said by all)

Most blessed Savior,
in union with the faithful at every altar of Your Church
where Your blessed Body and Blood are being offered to the Father,
I desire to offer You praise and thanksgiving,
I present to You my soul and body with the earnest wish that I may
always be united to You.
I believe that You are truly present in
the Holy Sacrament.
And since I cannot now receive You sacramentally into my heart;
I unite myself to You and embrace You with all the affections of my soul.
Let me never be separated from You.
Let me live and die in Your love. Amen.
Come, Lord Jesus, and dwell in the fulness
of Your strength,
in the perfection of Your ways, and in the holiness of Your Spirit,
and rule over every hostile power within me in the might of Your Spirit,
and to the glory of Your Father. Amen.
Blessed, praised, and adored be Jesus
Christ on His throne of glory in
Heaven, and in the most Holy Sacrament of the Altar. Amen.

and You assure us thereby of Your favor and goodness towards us; and that we
are very members incorporate in the mystical body of Your Son, the blessed
company of all faithful people; and are also heirs, through hope, of Your
everlasting kingdom. And we humbly beseech You, O heavenly Father, so to assist
us with Your grace, that we may continue in that holy fellowship, and do all
